CALLS
Deadline: 17 Oct, 2026
Free Entry / Worldwide Open Call
Accepted Media: Photography, video, digital visual design
Submission: 1 up to 3 works for each artist
The selected works will be brought together within the publication, creating an editorial narrative that connects different contemporary interpretations of aesthetic dynamism. Aesthetic explorations focused on formal dynamics have some of their origins in the study of the organic world that developed from the nineteenth century onward, when scientific discoveries and the introduction of new technologies — such as the microscope, X-rays, and microphotography — made previously difficult-to-observe dimensions of the natural world accessible. Artists, too, were able to engage with these new ways of seeing. It was within this cultural context that Art Nouveau emerged, characterized, among other features, by the use of curved and sinuous lines and the creation of fluid, dynamic forms inspired by the natural world. Starting from very different principles and cultural contexts, other major movements subsequently turned their attention to aesthetic dynamism. Among them, Futurism emerged during a period of intense technological transformation, in which speed, movement, and new means of communication contributed to reshaping perceptions of space and time. This gave rise to forms of expression that sought to convey the energy, simultaneity, and ever-changing character of modern reality.
Aesthetic Dynamics proposes to revisit this territory from a contemporary perspective. The theme draws upon a historical and intellectual legacy that, through ongoing scientific, technological, and cultural developments, can continue to generate new ways of seeing and new interpretations of reality, its forms, rhythms, and transformations.
The call is aimed at the selection of works for a new issue of the Issue Collective editorial project dedicated to the theme “Aesthetic Dynamics”.
A selection of the works chosen for publication will also be considered for a further selection process leading to participation in a group exhibition to be held in 2027 in one of the following cities: Milan, Rome, or Cagliari (IT)

Every aesthetic creation can be a revelation: of oneself, of the world, of others. What does it mean to reveal something today? What emerges when we look more closely, listen more carefully, and move beyond the veil of appearances?
With Revelations, LoosenArt invites artists to explore revelation as a moment of insight, discovery, or unveiling. The selected works will be featured in the forthcoming Issue Collective #3, a publication dedicated to what emerges beneath the surface of things, bringing an unexpected perspective, a personal truth, or an overlooked aspect of reality into view.

Call for Publication and Exhibition
What do the places we inhabit and move through tell us today? How do landscapes, environments and cultures change the way we perceive boundaries?
Through this call, LoosenArt invites artists to explore the many forms of contemporary geography. The publication will bring together works that examine the relationships between the physical and the symbolic, human presence and the environment, and local experience and global processes. Geographical, cultural, political and emotional boundaries thus become starting points for exploring territories, belonging and transformation through personal perspectives.
Some of the works selected for publication will also be considered in a further selection for the LoosenArt Collective #2 exhibition, planned for 2027 in Milan, Rome or Cagliari, Italy.
