The Plasteozoic Era The series emerges as a concern about the deterioration and lack of protection that the environment faces in the present. In a photographic expedition, we were very disappointed to find no lagoon or flamingos in the "Laguna de los Flamencos"(Flamingo Lagoon) of the Saona Island in Dominican Repúblic. What we found in the dry bed of the coastal lagoon were animal corpses and solid waste. Will we have to bring our own fauna to the environment to photograph them? The idea germinated and we began to insert figures of inflatable animals in the natural environments appropriate to the species they represent. At the same time we discussed ideas of an unreal world very similar to Planet Earth, after centuries of pollution, irreversible ecological damage and wars. The result is an "ecotopia, an absurd and fantastic ecological speculation: We want to achieve the complicity of visitors to complete the story. Initiate an interpretation and reflection on the events that trigger these situations so real and close in time. - Pictoria Newhouse
