Ozge Cone is an artist born in Instabul who lives and works in London. She received her art education at the Academy of Fine Arts in Istanbul, where obtained her BA, followed by the studies of art and photography at the Academy of Fine Arts of Vienna and other visual arts courses.
.
Through the medium of photography and other tools offered by digital technologies, Ozge Cone makes images through the display of an inner and personal world, an intention that is not far from some tendencies of the artists of the past. Her artistic research is centered from the very beginning on identity issues and an introspective vision, that involves her own experiences through which she absorbs all that she feels and transforms the responses to the world into a visible form, which she defines as “unconscious manifestations”. For this artist those images show proximity to what is psychological and chaotic. The concept of chaos is almost always central in the work of this artist and is related for her to idea of expansions, deteriorations, fractures, downfalls, metamorphoses and geneses. The human condition is a central issue in Ozge's work as well as a reflection about the existence in relationship with time, in the wake of Heidegger's philosophy with his notion of “Dasein”.

L.A.: Hello Özge, to start when and why did you chose to move to
London?
.
Ozge Cone: A year ago. I had nowhere to stand. The reason for this is because
I wanted to experience new things in life. The idea is to remain in a state of
constant departure while always arriving.
.
L.A.: Who were the first artists or photographers that inspired you? Who
inspires you today?
.
Ozge Cone: I got influenced mostly from early 20th century photographers,
artists. But my journey as an artist began when I met with Urs Lüthi, Wong Kar
Wai and Giotto di Bondone. Today my only inspiration is what I am seeing and
feeling. Life brings the magic you need.

L.A.: Many of your works can be considered something between
figurative and abstract. What do you hope people see, feel or
understand when they look at your images?
.
Ozge Cone: I don't wish to make people see feel or understand much else
than what they can bring to the picture.
.
L.A.: Can you take one of your works from those presents at LoosenArt
Gallery and express a personal comment about meanings or concepts?
.
Ozge Cone: All of my projects are constructed from the things I have lived, and
my feelings toward those experiences.
I transform certain responses I have to the world into a visible form. However,
the series ‘ Inside and Out ‘ is about my inner experiences on the concept of
chaos and change. Change is constant and constant is our common sense
based on balance. The available, the consensus.I have been more personal in
my approach to this. I have tried to illustrate what chaos is and how it interacts
with us. I have approached the ‘ persona non grata ‘ of myself and others,
through my own point of view, and I have merged this idea with the technique
that I thought was suitable in conveying it.

L.A.: What are you busy doing In this period? Have you any future
project?
.
Ozge Cone: I am busy with myself and the universe. The other things are
mandatories. I don't have any future project now but I feel it will soon knock on
my door.
